Send Leads to Notion

New leads and a daily summary in your Notion workspace, kept up to date by Ghost.

Ghost can write two things into Notion: every new lead, and a summary of each day. Your team sees them where they already work, without opening Ghost.

Connect

  • In Ghost, open Settings → Integrations and click Connect on Notion.
  • Notion asks which pages Ghost can use. Pick one page, for example a page called "Ghost". Ghost adds its databases inside it.
  • Click Allow access. You land back in Ghost, and two databases appear inside that page: Ghost — Leads and Ghost — Daily summary.

Only the person who connects can choose the page. Ghost can't see or change anything in Notion that you didn't share with it.

New leads

Each lead that starts after you connect becomes a row in Ghost — Leads, usually within 15 minutes. A row has the lead's name, phone, email, source, campaign, keyword, service, how they first got in touch, and its stage.

The row follows the lead. When it is quoted, booked or paid in Ghost, the stage and money columns change in Notion too, for leads from the last three days. Leads from before you connected are not copied.

Daily summary

After 7am in your business's timezone, Ghost adds one row to Ghost — Daily summary for the day before: leads, bookings, revenue from those leads, invoiced and paid revenue, ad spend, cost per lead, calls, answer rate, first-time callers, and quotes.

These are the same numbers as the Ghost pages for that day. Lead revenue counts leads that started that day; invoiced revenue counts invoices issued that day, so the two differ. See ROAS and Attributed Revenue for how each is counted.

Turn either one off

Open Settings → Integrations → Notion and switch off New leads or Daily summary. Rows already in Notion stay.

Changing the databases

You can rename the databases, move them, and add your own views, filters and columns. Don't rename or delete the columns Ghost created: it writes to them by name.

If you delete a database, or remove Ghost's access to its page, Notion shows as needing attention in Ghost. Click Reconnect and Ghost creates a new database.

Disconnect

In Settings → Integrations → Notion, click Disconnect. Ghost stops writing straight away. To remove Ghost's access in Notion as well, open Settings → Connections in Notion and remove Ghost. The rows already written stay in your workspace.
