Business Hours
Why Ghost asks, and what changes when you set them.
Business hours are used to understand call activity and after-hours enquiries.
Set them in Setup → Set business hours, or in Settings → General at any time.
Two sets of hours, not one
Business hours are when the business operates. Call answering hours are when someone is actually there to pick up the phone — often narrower: the crew works 8 to 5, the office answers 9 to 4.
That gap is the reason they are asked separately. Answer rate is measured against answering hours, so a call at 7pm is not counted against your team, and a missed call at 11am is.
What changes
- Missed-call and answer-rate figures use answering hours as their denominator.
- Enquiries outside business hours are identified as after-hours rather than ignored.
If you skip it
Nothing breaks. Call activity is still shown, just without an after-hours distinction. Nothing is retroactively wrong once you set them — the classification is computed, not stored.
