Connect Ghost to Claude and other AI apps
Connect Claude to Ghost and ask about your business in plain English. Claude looks up the answer in your Ghost data, so you don't have to build the report yourself.
How it works
Ghost runs an MCP server, the standard way AI apps connect to outside data. You add Ghost to your AI app once and sign in with your Ghost account. After that, the app can call Ghost whenever a question needs your numbers.
The connection is read-only. The app can look at your data but can't change anything in Ghost or in the accounts you've connected to it.
You'll need:
- A Ghost account with an active trial or subscription.
- An AI app that supports MCP servers with sign-in, such as Claude (web, desktop or Claude Code) or Cursor.
The server address for every app is:
https://ghost.supermanservices.ca/mcpConnect Claude on the web or desktop
- In Claude, open Settings › Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
- Name it Ghost and paste the server address above.
- Leave the settings Claude detects: Authentication set to Sign in now, OAuth client set to Register automatically, and no request headers. Click Add.
- Click Connect. Claude opens the Ghost sign-in page.
- Sign in, check the request, and click Allow. You'll land back in Claude.
If you don't see Add custom connector, your Claude plan may not include custom connectors, or your workspace owner may need to add Ghost for your organization.
Connect Claude Code
Run this in your terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user Ghost https://ghost.supermanservices.ca/mcpThen start Claude Code, type /mcp, choose Ghost and pick Authenticate. Your browser opens the Ghost sign-in page. Sign in and click Allow. The --scope user flag makes Ghost available in every project, not just the folder you're in.
Connect another MCP app
Most MCP apps accept a server entry like this one. Add it where your app keeps its MCP settings (in Cursor, that's ~/.cursor/mcp.json):
{
"mcpServers": {
"Ghost": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://ghost.supermanservices.ca/mcp"
}
}
}There's no password or API key to paste. The first time the app connects, it opens a browser window so you can sign in to Ghost and allow access.
What the app can read
The app sees the same data you see in Ghost, for your company only. Here's what each area covers, with a question you could ask:
| Area | What the app can read | Try asking |
|---|---|---|
| Business summary | Your company profile, which data sources you have connected, and a one-call snapshot of leads, revenue, ad return, calls and quotes for any date range. | “How did last month go?” |
| Leads | Every lead with its source, campaign or keyword, service and pipeline stage; the full timeline for one lead; the lead funnel; leads and return by source; and what happened to leads that did not book. | “Which Google Ads keywords brought leads that turned into jobs?” |
| Calls | Call history with tracking source, agent, outcome and follow-up status; transcripts and call summaries; answer-rate and volume metrics; and missed calls nobody called back. | “List missed calls from this week we never returned.” |
| Clients | One client’s contact details, how they first found you, and their quotes, jobs, invoices and leads. | “What has the Henderson account spent with us?” |
| Revenue | Invoiced, paid and outstanding revenue; revenue by marketing source and what could not be traced; customer lifetime value; quote acceptance; and weekly return on ad spend. | “What share of revenue can we trace to a source?” |
| Marketing | Spend, clicks and platform-reported leads from Google Ads, Meta and Local Services Ads; performance by channel, campaign, city, service or month; revenue by area; and your attribution health. | “Compare cost per booked job across channels for Q3.” |
| Team | The agent scoreboard: points, calls handled and bookings per agent. | “Who booked the most jobs last week?” |
Ghost reads dates in Pacific time. When you don't give a date range, the app gets the last 30 days. Ad platform numbers come from the platforms themselves, so they can differ from the leads and revenue Ghost traced to the same campaigns. Ask for both when you want to compare.
The app only sees data from the sources you've connected. If you haven't connected your CRM, for example, it can't answer questions about invoices.
Privacy and security
- You sign in on Ghost's own page. The AI app never sees your password.
- Ghost gives each app its own access, which you approve on a consent screen. The app can't use it to see another company's data or to make changes.
- Once Ghost sends data to your AI app, that app's own privacy terms cover what happens to it. Check them before you connect, especially in a shared workspace.
- If your company's trial or subscription ends, Ghost stops answering until an owner renews it.
Disconnect an app
In Ghost, go to Settings › Connected apps and click Disconnect next to the app. Ghost cancels the app's access right away, and the app can't get new access without asking you again. Any access it already holds runs out within an hour. You can also remove Ghost inside the AI app, but that only removes it from that app.
Troubleshooting
“Ghost access for this company has ended”
Your trial or subscription has lapsed. An owner can renew it from Ghost.
“This account is not linked to a Ghost company yet”
Sign in to Ghost in your browser and finish onboarding, then try again.
The app keeps asking me to sign in
Remove Ghost from the app and add it again. If you disconnected the app in Ghost, it has to ask for access again.
