# Missing Historical Records

Why bookings or calls from before you connected may never appear.

## If the source is forward-only
There is nothing to import. Calls or submissions from before the connection existed were never sent to Ghost and cannot be recovered. See [Webhooks and Forward-Only Data](https://ghost.supermanservices.ca/help/webhooks-and-forward-only-data).

## If the source supports history
Check whether the import has finished. While a connection reads **Importing**, older records are still arriving.

If the import has finished and records are still missing, the source may not retain them, or they may sit outside the account or permission scope Ghost was granted — a CRM record owned by a different account, or spend in an ad account that was not included.

## Why Ghost does not estimate the gap
An estimated history would be spent against. An empty earlier period, clearly labelled, is the honest version.
