What Failed and Action needed mean, and how to clear them.

Section: Troubleshooting. Web version: https://ghost.supermanservices.ca/help/connection-errors

## Failed
The credential no longer works. Access was revoked, a password changed, or the grant expired. Reconnect the provider from **Setup** — the same consent screen, and nothing already imported is lost.

## Action needed
The connection exists but its syncs are failing, or the provider is reporting a problem. The error is shown exactly as the provider reported it, because that wording is usually the only thing that identifies which permission is missing.

## Why Ghost shows this prominently
A connection that dies quietly is the worst failure a reporting product can have: the pages still render, the numbers just stop growing, and nobody notices for weeks. Ghost checks connection health on every page and says so in the status bar.

## After reconnecting
Most sources catch up on what they missed while the connection was down, within whatever window the provider allows. A forward-only source cannot — the gap stays, and the page says so.
