# Connect Advertising

Advertising connections bring in what you spent, so Ghost can compare it against what came back.

Open **Setup → Connect advertising**.

## What Ghost can import
Supported historical campaign and spend data.

## What arrives going forward
New campaign and spend data through scheduled syncs.

## What may be unavailable
Data outside the connected account or permission scope.

## Which accounts are read
After connecting, Ghost lists the ad accounts the grant can see and you choose which belong to this business. Only included accounts are read. If you manage several businesses from one login, this is the step that keeps them apart.

Google Ads and Local Services Ads share one Google connection — connecting either covers both.

## If you do not advertise
Say so in Setup. Ghost stops asking, and the advertising pages explain that there is nothing to show rather than looking broken. Return on ad spend simply has no meaning without spend.
