Why Ghost asks, and what changes when you set them.

Business hours are used to understand call activity and after-hours enquiries.

Set them in **Setup → Set business hours**, or in **Settings → General** at any time.

## Two sets of hours, not one
**Business hours** are when the business operates. **Call answering hours** are when someone is actually there to pick up the phone — often narrower: the crew works 8 to 5, the office answers 9 to 4.

That gap is the reason they are asked separately. Answer rate is measured against answering hours, so a call at 7pm is not counted against your team, and a missed call at 11am is.

## What changes
- Missed-call and answer-rate figures use answering hours as their denominator.
- Enquiries outside business hours are identified as after-hours rather than ignored.

## If you skip it
Nothing breaks. Call activity is still shown, just without an after-hours distinction. Nothing is retroactively wrong once you set them — the classification is computed, not stored.
